The big picture

Earshot helps you find relevant conversations on Reddit and draft thoughtful replies — without spending hours scrolling.

Here's the flow:

1. A Listener watches specific subreddits for posts and comments that match your keywords and topics.
2. When something looks relevant, Earshot surfaces it for you to review.
3. On Solo, Earshot reads the thread and writes a draft reply. Your Persona shapes how it sounds. Your Knowledge Base (if you have one) supplies accurate product facts.
4. The draft lands in your Drafts queue. You read it, edit it, copy it, and paste it on Reddit yourself.

AI drafts are not generated on Scout. Matches appear under Monitored posts for you to review and reply to manually on Reddit.

Earshot never posts automatically. Every reply goes through you. That's by design — it keeps you in control and helps you engage authentically.

The four building blocks

Think of Earshot as four pieces that work together. The value comes from tuning all of them.

Listeners — what to watch

A Listener is a saved set of instructions: which subreddits to monitor, which keywords matter, and how often to check. Each Listener runs on a schedule and surfaces conversations worth your time.

One Listener = one monitoring configuration. You can have several — for different products, audiences, or subreddit groups.

Personas — how to sound

A Persona defines the voice Earshot writes in — your background, your rules, your reply length, and example replies. It's optional but makes a big difference. Without one, drafts tend to sound generic.

You attach a Persona to a Listener through the Writing voice dropdown. One Listener uses one Persona at a time, but several Listeners can share the same Persona.

Knowledge Bases — what to know

A Knowledge Base is a collection of documents — PDFs, text files, or Markdown — that Earshot can reference when drafting. This helps replies stay factually accurate instead of guessing about your product.

Drafts — what you ship

A Draft is a proposed Reddit reply waiting for your review. It includes the original thread context, Earshot's suggested reply (editable), and panels explaining why the thread matched.

You can edit, copy, post, or reject each draft. Nothing goes live until you paste it on Reddit yourself.

How they work together

Here's a step-by-step picture of what happens behind the scenes:

1. Your Listener runs on schedule and scans its subreddits.
2. Posts and comments pass through keyword filters and relevance checks.
3. For matches, Earshot surfaces the thread for your review.
4. On Solo: Earshot reads the thread context, your Persona sets the tone and rules, your Knowledge Base supplies product facts, and Earshot generates a draft in your Drafts queue.
5. You review, edit, copy, and paste on Reddit yourself.

On Scout, step 4 is skipped — matches appear as Monitored posts without AI drafting.

Earshot has two plans. This docs site describes the full Solo experience by default.

On Scout, Earshot still finds relevant posts and comments — you just review them yourself without AI drafts. You can upgrade to Solo anytime from Billing.
